The short version: this site collects as little as possible, never sells anything it collects, and doesn't track you around the web.

Reading the site

There are no advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party trackers.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
If you switch between light and dark mode, that preference is saved in your own browser. It never leaves your device.

The newsletter

Email subscriptions aren't open yet. When they are, this page will be updated to explain what's collected and who processes it before any address is collected.

Your choices

You can ask what information the site holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or ask any other privacy question by emailing dave@hapistudios.com. If you're in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Material changes, such as adding analytics or opening paid subscriptions, will be noted here before they take effect.
